While professional sports teams certainly have impressive stadiums that they compete in, for smaller, local sports organizations across the country, building a permanent facility for training and events simply isn’t feasible. A more realistic option for sporting groups looking for an indoor event center is a temporary building from Big Top Fabric Structures. Our structures may not be as grandiose as permanent arenas, but they offer a range of advantages that make them ideal for any sports activity.
Installed Nearly Anywhere
With a Big Top fabric structure, you can build your sports facility anywhere you have the space. Our temporary buildings do not require a concrete foundation and can be anchored to nearly anything, including directly to asphalt. In fact, we’ve worked with sports organizations that anchored their building to shipping containers that were repurposed for use as locker rooms, training rooms, and other sports applications.
Ample Space for Your Needs
We can design our temporary buildings to be up to 80 feet high, 174 feet wide, and almost any length. And because there are no internal guy wires or columns, you can utilize the entirety of the interior space.
Naturally Illuminated
The fabric cover of our temporary structures is translucent and will allow sunlight to flood the interior, providing enough light for sports activities without aid from an electric lighting system. However, if your sports program requires training or events in the evening, our buildings can be wired for electric lighting.
Comfortable Interiors
Big Top’s fabric structures offer exceptional thermal performance. In fact, the fabric cover blocks 99.95% of UV-A and UV-B radiation, which helps the interior maintain a pleasant temperature that is, on average, 15 degrees cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter than the temperature outside. Your staff, athletes, and guests will be comfortable and protected inside your fabric sports facility without the need for artificial climate control.
Impressive Performance Against the Elements
In addition to offering excellent thermal protection, our temporary buildings are built strong to hold up in any kind of weather. The fabric cover is rip resistant, NFPA701 flame retardant, and secured by an industrial-grade, galvanized steel frame. We can also engineer your fabric structure to meet local wind and snow load requirements. With proper maintenance, your new fabric sports structure from Big Top can last for decades.
Portable Sports Facilities
Should your sports organization ever need to change locations, you’ll be pleased to know that your temporary structure can move with you. In fact, our buildings can be moved intact around a property with a crane, and they can be disassembled and shipped to a new location for future use.
